Maison & Object, the Paris-based design fair, has confirmed that its September 2021 edition will go ahead as planned.

The fair will run from 9 to 13 September at Paris Nord Villepinte. The dates coincides with Paris Design Week, which runs from 9 to 18 September.

“In order to definitively confirm the September 2021 edition, we were impatiently awaiting for the green light from the French government,” said Philippe Brocart, Maison & Objet's general manager. “It’s now official: fairs and exhibitions will be able to be held again as of June 30th, 2021, with no capacity limit. We are therefore able to announce that professionals will finally be able to meet in Paris as of Thursday September 9th, in compliance with all the health and safety measures imposed by the authorities.”

Previous editions of the fair had been cancelled during the pandemic, but the fair's organisers cite “[the] effects of the global vaccination campaigns and their acceleration, the easing of travel conditions, combined with the impatience of the community” as reasons for the September 2021 edition to proceed.

The fair will be accompanied by an online programme hosted on its Maison & Objet and More platform (MOM), which launched in 2016. Over the past year, the platform received 2.7 million visitors.
